Simulation using Mixed Reality
Isonomic have worked with secondary education schools and large scale projects to transform educational content for students and employees. We work with you to design the best fit technology, budget and methodology for delivery (3D or filmed) and can deliver large scale projects in an agile methodology so they can be progressively implemented. We provide all filming equipment, editing, visual effects, 3D and mixed reality programming.
For the Spark NEL project Isonomic were engaged to design and produce 3 complex holographic training applications. These will be used as part of the induction program for underground workers
The Virtual Hospital
The idea came from an Isonomic facilitated ideation session with students, to provide an immersive VR experience of the the sub-acute clinical work environment to help with clinical placement and learning during their stage 2 diploma of nursing.
The project was completed using 360 degree VR production and scripts were drafted to shoot actors in a real hospital environment.
Filming involved a video shoot using a 360 degree camera and lighting following by editing and cleaning and stitching of scenes from the real hospital environment.
The final step was adding voiceovers and ‘supers’ (titles, text and graphics) within the 360 degree software package used by the client.
2023 Isonomic Project for Holmesglen
Isonomic built detailed training for large machinery like Roadheaders in Mixed Reality for Sydney Metro extension. Delivering training for equipment that is hard to replicate in the real environment.
Isonomic worked with Holmesglen and stakeholders to create an immersive Training experience for working on the TBM in a real tunnel. Isonomic have an established, ongoing partnership for innovative learning projects for VTC
Escape Rooms/Simulated Scenarios
Isonomic partnered with Holmesglen to design an Educational Escape room; this was a key way to innovate assessment as part of scaffolding learning within a pilot curriculum for the diploma of nursing.
We can work with you to develop bespoke escape rooms/real simulations that enable you end users to be fully immersed in simulated assessments, using a serious games methodology
We build state of the art solutions for complex workplace problems; like bullying and harassment
We have built prototypes for virtual reality immersive training around workplace bullying and harassment. The solutions are based around the latest research, in conjunction with psychologists, and use cognitive behavioural training and empathy training. Bespoke elements are then built to reflect the clients work environment and particular scenarios. We partner with leading specialist animation studios in Australia to deliver solutions that fast track cultural change within your organisation.
CASE STUDY - Office Bullying Mirroring Empathy Training
Isonomic has built a common bullying scenario, using a Mo-CAP specialist collaborator Electric Lens.
Isonomic worked with an existing client to develop a common bullying scenario, it was scripted, a storyboard drawn up, actor recruited and it was shot in the studio, then animated and rendered into the Oculus Rift headset. This enabled us to create an immersive animation experience which placed the person in a mirrored workplace environment.
Duration: 10-12 minute experience. This case study is available for demonstrations.
Final Training Design
We would use the same process to build real scenarios based on your workplace. With improvements in technology and kinetic cameras this type of experience is becoming more cost effective and accessible. Final experience would be modular but would not need to last more than 30 minutes.
Long Term Benefits:
Delivers rapid cultural change
Aims at creating cognition change for lasting individual benefits
Reduces requirement on role play or complex facilitated workshops. Can be delivered anywhere in the world.
Once characters are built it is easy to adapt voice-overs for different scenarios and work environments. i.e. a desk can economically be replaced by a piece of machinery.
Can be used again and again over the years, i.e. the technology is unlikely to age.
